TATOO-AFTERCARE

Proper aftercare is essential for achieving the best possible healing result.

Please follow these instructions carefully during the healing process.

Immediately After Your Appointment

Your tattoo will be protected with a Second Skin bandage.

The bandage acts as a protective barrier and helps create an ideal healing environment during the first days after tattooing.

You may shower while wearing the Second Skin.

What Happens Under the Second Skin?

It is completely normal for a mixture of excess ink, blood, and plasma to collect beneath the bandage.

This often creates a visible fluid pocket or "bubble" under the film.

Do not puncture, open, or remove the bandage prematurely because of this.

The fluid accumulation is a normal part of the healing process.

Removing the Second Skin

Leave the Second Skin in place for approximately 2–5 days.

To remove it:

  • Take a warm shower.

  • Gently peel the bandage away from the skin.

  • Remove it slowly rather than pulling it straight up.

After removal, wash the tattoo carefully using lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.

Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Do not rub the tattoo.

Moisturizing the Tattoo

After cleaning, apply a very thin layer of tattoo aftercare cream or healing ointment.

Less is more.

The skin should remain moisturized but still be able to breathe.

If the tattoo feels dry during healing, you may apply another thin layer as needed.

Avoid excessive amounts of cream.

Do Not Re-Cover the Tattoo

Once the Second Skin has been removed, do not apply any new bandages, plastic wrap, or other coverings.

The tattoo needs air to heal properly.

Your tattoo is an investment in yourself. Proper aftercare is just as important as the tattooing process itself.

During the Healing Process

For approximately two weeks:

  • Do not swim.

  • Do not take baths.

  • Avoid saunas and steam rooms.

  • Avoid intense exercise that causes heavy sweating.

  • Avoid excessive friction on the tattoo.

  • Do not scratch or pick at scabs or peeling skin.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure.

Mild peeling, flaking, itching, and dryness are completely normal.

Sun Protection

After healing, always protect your tattoo from excessive sun exposure.

Applying sunscreen helps preserve sharp lines, contrast, and overall tattoo quality over time.

When To Contact Me

Please get in touch if you experience:

  • excessive swelling,

  • unusual redness,

  • signs of infection,

  • allergic reactions,

  • or if you have any concerns about the healing process.

Including clear photos will help me assess the situation more accurately.

A Final Note

Every tattoo heals differently depending on skin type, placement, lifestyle, and individual healing characteristics.

Following the aftercare instructions carefully will give your tattoo the best possible chance to heal beautifully and retain its quality for years to come.

Ich würde außerdem ganz oben noch einen kleinen Satz ergänzen, der zu deiner Marke passt:

Your tattoo is an investment in yourself. Proper aftercare is just as important as the tattooing process itself.
